2020 ISST EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS
Call for Nominations and Election
November 8, 2020
We, Kerry Beckley and Alexandra Yaltonskaya, the current Election Committee nominated by the Executive Board, are pleased to announce the 2020 ISST Board elections.
We have made some changes to the procedures announced last week and have also changed the timetable as the initial announcement was not sent to all members. Please read this revised announcement carefully.
Nominees are full or honorary ISST-Certified Member (standard or advanced) and have indicated their willingness to run for the position. All full and honorary members were eligible to nominate candidates and certified members may also nominate themselves. All nominations were supported by two other full or honorary members.
All submitted nominations were reviewed by the Election Committee and checked and verified in a confidential process. Information about verified nominations are posted here:
Nominations were made between October 7th and October 31st, 2020.
Do NOT use the LISTSERV as a means to promote your nominee(s) or your own candidacy.
All nominees had an opportunity to post their personal statement on the ISST website before the election began.
Voting in the Elections of the Executive Board is done electronically; you can read about the rules and the procedure here.
By November 8, 2020 you should have received log-in information by email to access the voting ballot on the website. You will have time to cast your vote up through the deadline, November 22, 2020 (11:59 pm CET).
Executive Board elections take place every two years. The board consists of the eight positions, listed below. Seven of the eight members of the current board will be stepping down in their current positions, as noted below.

Announcing the election and naming the board members that will run again. ISST Board job descriptions to be provided. |

Call for nomination sent to membership; Job descriptions will be available on website for membership to view. |
October 7 to October 31 |
Nomination period. Nominations will be sent directly to the Election Committee, who will verify eligibility and interest of the nominated members. Verified candidates are asked to submit personal statements motivating why they believe they should be elected. The Election Committee posts on the website an alphabetic list of verified candidates for each position as they are confirmed. |
November 1 |
An email is sent to all members inviting them to view the candidates on the website and take part in the election. The voting process will be described in detail in this communication. |
November 8 to November 22 |
Voting Period. |
November 26 (or earlier) |
Announcement of successful candidates after they confirm their willingness to serve – winning candidates have three days to formally accept the position. |
December 1 |
Run-off elections if needed. |
