Dear ISST Colleagues,

In this unprecedented and highly stressful situation created by the coronavirus pandemic, we are committed to support the Schema Therapy Community in Practice and Training.  In view of the urgent imperative for Social Distancing, we have made an exceptional decision to institute a permanent policy of allowing trainers to provide any kind of Schema Therapy training or workshops, including Certification training and CPD (continuing professional development).

In order to ensure that the quality of such training is maintained, we have set out strict requirements that such trainings must meet.  The details are in the document, ISST Policy on the Provision on Schema Therapy Training Online During the Coronavirus Pandemic.  Trainers who wish to take advantage of this will need to complete ISST online training application form and submit it to the Training Coordinator.

This permanent policy is in effect from now until June 30th 2021.  At the end of June we will assess the world-wide health situation and will then decide whether to discontinue or extend this permanent policy.

We believe that the best quality of training is in-person training.  But due to this extraordinary world-wide crisis, we want to encourage and support the continuance Schema Therapy training.  When this crisis is over, we expect that we will return to our usual requirements because of the important value of in-person training.
