About
I am a registered Forensic Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist and have worked in a forensic setting for over ten years. Prior to moving into forensic mental health in 2011 I spent several years working in prisons with male offenders. This included risk assessment and risk management, providing treatment addressing offending behaviour and rehabilitation through group work and individual therapy. Following this I moved into forensic mental health and worked in a secure hospital. I was the psychologist for a low secure ward for male patients with mental illness and/or personality disorder. I accepted referrals from across the hospital for Schema Therapy. It is positive to be able to work with individuals as they progress through their care pathway. I then moved to Ireland and worked in the private healthcare sector. I returned to the UK in May 2018 and work in forensic mental health in medium and low secure hospital.I enjoy the process of this therapy model, experiencing the establishment of the therapeutic relationship and the impact of the experiential techniques.
