40 hrs online ISST Certified
Schema Therapy Training

Organized by the Dutch Institute for Schema Therapy

Presented by Remco van der Wijngaart Chris Korevaar

Following the success of previous editions of this online training – which received enthusiastic feedback for its live demonstrations, safe group atmosphere, and hands-on practice – we warmly invite you to join us for a new edition.

This course is designed to provide a solid foundation in the core concepts of schema therapy, with a focus on treating personality disorders and persistent syndrome disorders. Delivered via Zoom, the training offers an engaging and interactive experience, featuring practical demonstrations, small-group exercises in breakout rooms, and video material that illustrates key therapeutic techniques.

Over the course of 40 hours, you will learn to identify schemas and schema modes, and to develop a case conceptualization based on core emotional needs, schemas, coping styles, and modes. You'll also learn to use the therapeutic relationship—especially the concept of limited reparenting—as a powerful tool for change.

The training emphasizes experiential techniques such as imagery rescripting, chair work, and historical role play, alongside cognitive strategies. Each topic is introduced through brief, focused explanations, followed by demonstrations and opportunities for participants to practice and reflect in a supportive learning environment.

By the end of the course, you'll be equipped to begin applying schema therapy in your own clinical work, supported by peer consultation and supervision.

Dates and times:

Mondays       12:00 - 2:00 pm CET    20x2 hrs       (40 hrs face to face)

Due to the changing of the clock the time may change from Sunday October, 26th!
