Elisa Steinhorst Damasceno:
Elisa Steinhorst Damasceno is licensed clinical psychologist in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Schema Therapy, she is a certified Individual Schema Therapist (ISST). In Private Practice for over 10 years, Elisa is a Schema Therapy and CBT trainer at Wainer Psicologia, an important Psychology institute and training center in Brazil. Supervision of undergraduate students of several Psychology courses is also one of her activities, as well as supervising clinicians from different parts of the country. Schema Modes are one of the main topics Elisa works with in a clinical Psychology research group at the the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, where she has recently finished studying the psychometric properties of the Brazilian version of the Schema Mode Inventory (SMI). For the past decade Elisa has been working with patients who struggle with substance abuse, mood and Personality Disorders.
